Auto Repair Shop Google Adwords Re-marketing Campaign Part 2
In the previous blog, the basics of a Google Adwords Remarketing Campaign, and the power it has to inexpensively rev up marketing for auto repair shops.
But, much like you sometimes have to check the technical manual for a diagram, examples can help to illustrate how a re-marketing campaign could work for your shop.
So, below is one example of how a Google Adwords Remarketing Campaign can help an auto repair shop.
(No actual people named John have moved to Dallas, recently, that we know of.)
John's Moving To Dallas
John just landed a new job in Dallas. He's relocating his family and is going through the process of moving. John drives a BMW, his wife has an Audi and their son a MINI Cooper. John services his car at an independent repair shop and sees more value there than going to the dealership. He’s also using a European shop that specializes in all three brands his family owns. Part of the moving process, in addition to exploring the new city on Google while selecting a neighborhood to live in, is finding a new car repair shop.
Turning to Google, John starts his search: "independent BMW Repair Shop in Dallas".
You are running a Google Adwords campaign and John sees you at the top of the first page. He clicks and arrives on your BMW landing page. The landing page has a Google Re-marketing Tag for a BMW audience and John is entered into the list. He sees your Audi and MINI Cooper links and click to those pages as well.
Over the next few weeks John searches for other local staples like coffee shops, grocery stores, a dry cleaner, etc. Your interaction is usually over with his first search for an independent repair shop-- until John moves to Dallas and needs car service and looks you up again. But, with a Google Adwords Re-Marketing campaign you have been serving image ads to John. Putting your shop on his other searches, no matter what he’s looking for.
60 days later the MINI Cooper his son drives has a Check Engine Light. John knows that you are the specialist for MINI Cooper in Dallas. He returns to Google and types your business name, not "MINI Cooper Repair Shop Dallas".
John schedules an appointment on your website.
If you have conversion tracking enabled and set up, you can track the appointment back to your Analytics and Adwords accounts. The closed loop analytics all happens in the background but provides you with valuable data—you know the ad worked.
